We are the HIT Squad (Health Integration Team). Our aim is to promote inclusive and accessible activities for children and young people in Hackney.
What do we do?
Offer training to any leisure providers and other organisations in Hackney to improve access for all children with additional needs
Provide support to any child open to the Short Breaks team. We aim to work together to meet the children/ young person’s physical, behavioural, sensory or communication needs in the leisure activity of their choice.
We accept referrals for 1:1 support for children aged 5-17 and known to Short Breaks with barriers to accessing current activities. If you would like to register your interest for 1:1 support or have other leisure related questions, please contact us via the “Contact HIT Squad” button below.
